The Celestron NexYZ 3-Axis Universal Smartphone Adapter fits any eyepiece from 35mm to 60mm in diameter, including telescopes with 1.25'' and 2'' eyepieces, spotting scopes, monoculars and binoculars. The NexYZ will also attach to microscopes with the addition of the included adapter ring, which brings usable diameter up to 25mm, which is the size of a standard microscope eyepiece. A sturdy spring and threaded twist lock provide a strong and secure two-level grip on the eyepiece of the optical instrument so you can capture images with confidence.

It can accommodate a wide range of smartphones as the phone platform is fully adjustable and can fit any device, usually with the case still inserted. Even larger phones like the iPhone 8 Plus and the latest Samsung Galaxy devices work flawlessly, the secure platform withstands the weight of these heavier devices with ease.

If more people want to capture a shot through your optics, the NexYZ's simple spring clamps make it easy to remove one device and replace it with another in seconds. NexYZ is the ideal solution for star parties and group walks where everyone wants their own take on the action.

It's as easy as XYZ - most adapters rely on the phone's perfect placement on the platform and only offer limited two-axis adjustment. The NexYZ gives you the ability to place the phone on the platform, center it on the eyepiece with the X and Y knobs, then move up or down over the eyepiece until you get the full field of view in your shot.

And while this adjustment is extremely precise, it's still quicker and easier than other adapters. From start to vane ish, the process takes only about 30 seconds, including the time it takes to insert the phone into the NexYZ, connect the NexYZ to an eyepiece, launch the camera app, and center the camera on the eyepiece using the knobs. If you change phones, eyepieces or optical instruments, you will only need minor adjustments to refocus the camera on the new eyepiece.

You can also change your image from portrait to landscape by simply rotating the padded eyepiece clamp and re-adjusting the X, Y and Z axes to realign your phone with the eyepiece.
