Celestron CPC Series telescopes are instruments with Schmidt-Cassegrain optics with a computerized altazimuth fork mount designed for maximum versatility and ease of use combined with the great efficiency and total reliability typical of technologically mature products.
Optical tube and fork – permanently joined – form a very robust system that is easy to transport and mount on the supplied tripod. A CPC telescope mounts and aligns in minutes with the very fast SkyAlign mode, which does not require recognition of the alignment stars. Celestron CPCs offer a built-in GPS receiver that eliminates the need to manually enter the date, time and exact coordinates of the observation location. The database of 40,000 objects provides the user with an enormous choice of objects to observe or photograph.

From an optical point of view, the heart of the CPC 800 is the very famous Celestron C8, which is the best-selling mid-range astronomical telescope in the world thanks to its compactness, its light weight and its great optical performance. The C8 is suitable for universal use, both astronomical and terrestrial, both visual and photographic and is one of the most modular astronomical instruments that exist, being able to work optimally in focal length ranges between 660 and 8000 mm (with optional accessories, also produced by third parties). The XLT optical treatment enhances the brightness of the optics, also offering very high contrast on both planets and deep sky objects.
