The Astro Fi series offers beginner telescopes with the same advanced electronics as Celestron's great optics. They can be controlled via tablet or smartphone, and for this reason the button panel is not provided .
SkyAlign : This telescope features Celestron's SkyAlign technology. It means you can set computer control by aiming three light objects one after another. This initialization procedure before an observation is also called alignment.
With SkyAlign you won't have to know the names of the three bright objects you're pointing at, they could even be planets. By measuring the angle, observation point, date and time, the computer calculates the actual sky visible from where you are. Once you have carried out this simple procedure at the beginning of the observation, all you have to do is rely on the computerized control (GoTo) and let it show you what is interesting to admire.

WiFi-Ready : This telescope generates its own WLAN . This allows control of the instrument via smartphone or tablet with Celestron's free SkyPortal app , for iPhone, iPad and Android. However, SkyPortal is not just about control. This app is in fact a planetarium software that not only shows you the sky, but also provides you with additional information about celestial objects with descriptions, images and partly audio files - in English.
Furthermore, via the SkyPortal application, the computerized control automatically receives the necessary information on the observation location (GPS), date and time.
The single-arm azimuthal mount carries small optics. It is light to transport and quick to install. To begin observing, simply place the telescope, with its dovetail plate, on the mount arm. At the end you just need to separate the optics from the frame using the handle, so you can carry both comfortably and store them safely.

The MC 102/1325 optics : the particular design of Maksutov telescopes determines the compactness of the tube with long focal lengths . The short structure reduces the leverage effect, especially benefiting smaller frames, which gain greater stability. The closed tube protects the mirror from dirt and the relatively small 102 millimeter opening has a positive effect on the acclimatization times of the instrument. Maksutov telescopes are also collimation stable . The large focal length allows high magnifications in the observation of the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. The Maksutov is therefore the favorite telescope for lovers of planetary observation . The integrated focusing allows stable mounting of the cameras on the optics. With a Maksutov like this you will be able to capture stunning images of the Moon and planets via a DSLR or planetary camera.
